Noodle Counting

My neighbor gave us Halloween pasta - shapes of bats, spiders, pumpkins and witches in varying colors. We cooked them for dinner not too long ago, and the kids thought they were fabulous.
Lucas screamed for bats last night, when I served him traditional elbow noodles.

Anywho, I gave the kids a handful of uncooked noodles and a ziplock bag to assist with counting and sorting items. They thought it was wonderful. As did I, because it further showed how intelligent my children are!

Not only could Lucas sort and count like-items - he could even determine that witches were for Mere!

(Although, he was quite enthralled with a green witch hat this weekend).

Here are a few photos of noodle counting.
