Sunday Fun

On Sunday, we headed over to Williamsburg to their famous theme park:

Richard and I hadn't been since before we started dating -- so it had been over 6 years.
Lucas and Meredith's first tram ride from the far away parking lot. Seriously, we thought we had left BG, we had to park so far away. The tram announcer told me it only gets this crazy because of the Scary Halloween stuff they do in October. (July 4th weekend is the only other time they are that busy).

We are grateful for their "Here's to the Hero's" Program that allowed us to enjoy the park.
Thank you EE for reminding me of the wonderful perk during your trip to Sea World!

Daddy and Meredith posed with the pumpkins

Mommy and the kids with the scarecrow
(yes, it appears I favor Meredith here, but really I was just trying to get her to look at the camera!)

Meredith freaked when she saw Elmo.
At least Lucas was able to contain himself, and just acted shy with Cookie Monster.
I have a cute photo of cookie monster covering his face from Lucas,
but there isn't room for them all!

Daddy and Lucas posing with the bush....Lucas informed us it was Grover.
I will never know how he knew that.

Meredith was trying to plan where we were going to eat.
Unfortunately, we let Daddy have the final say, and it wasn't the best $20 ever spent.

Lucas and Daddy looking into the scary tree thing.

Our tea cup adventure. This series of photos is great! This one is my favorite.
We rode them twice, and I put my foot down to move on to something else.
Lucas and the skiddish parrot. Apparently, the bird is scared of people with skinny arms and was not interested in letting Lucas hold him. He instead, went to Richard's arm to be held.

My absolute favorite thing is to fly through the air in a big square box hanging on a thin wire that is only minimally secure.
Lucas thought it was awesome, declaring "Let's do it again!".

Instead of riding the skyline again, we let the kids ride the ladybugs....

then the flying dragons...

stopped by to see the Clidesdale Horses

then back to the Sesame Street area, where Meredith stuck her head through Oscar's trash!
She loves Oscar! There is a little Lucas playing in the background.

Meredith crawling into the cave, but stops to strike a pose.

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

This photo took like 15 tries between Meredith being uncooperative, the rude people that kept running through, and the delayed processing on our camera.

We followed up our dinner in Italy, with a beautiful dessert.

A funnel cake covered in strawberries.
A fantastic way to end a fantastic day!
