Dinosaurs

For months, we have talked about going to the show "Walking with the Dinosaurs." After much debating, we finally bit the bullet and purchased tickets.

The show was described as being similar to the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park - life size replicas of
dinosaurs, roaming around the arena. We did not know what to expect, but we hoped for the best with both kids.

We traveled to Roanoke on Friday for the opening show! Lucas was incredibly excited to go - afterall, dinosaurs are his favorite thing.

We had awesome seats. Photos were VERY hard to come by. "NO PHOTOGRAPHY" was announced, but I still tried my best. Don't judge - everyone else was doing it.

The lighting was intentionally very fast and sporatic, to prevent photos from coming out.
You can see the decorative lighting in this shot here....

This is what most of the evening looked like for us...

Brachiosaurus...

VERY into the show...

More Brachiosaurus -- my favorite!

Raptors! If you look closely, you can see the human legs within the dinosaurs.

Crazy lighting at its best!

Dino poop!
Meredith was the ONLY one in the entire arena that clapped and yelled "Yay!" after the dinosaur pooped! Hilarious!

From the Jurrasic Period...

Ending the show with the Tryannosaurus Rex!
Roar!

Lucas LOVED the show!
He has been asking questions about it for days. Today, I thought he was going to cry when he asked me "Why did the dinosaurs have to die?"
Luckily, we had answers for him this time.
