In October, we purchased a shed for some extra curb appeal. Due to the slope in our yard, the shed has a HUGE step to get inside.
We decided the best option for the entryway was a ramp.
With sunny skies and wood in hand, Richard used his Spring Break to complete this project.
First things first, he put together part of his "Christmas present" that HE brought home after a black Friday extravaganza at Lowe's:
A small work horse
(which we now understand, we need another one)
And so begins his FIRST ever wood working project!
Clamping...
Cutting...
Framing....
(If you notice, there is now lattice around the bottom of the ramp.
This project was completed before the holidays and looks fantastic.)
Constructing the ramp boarding...
The kids played in the sand while we were outdoors and got COVERED...
So bath and jammies came before dinnertime....
Lucas supervising Daddy's work...
Deciding that the littles needed to assist to make the project go smoother...
Testing out the finished product!
The finished product...
with a much more FINISHED look!
