When we purchased our home in Oklahoma, this sandbox was left behind among other things.
We have loved this Ladybug.
Dixie used it as a swimming pool.
Lucas used it as a swimming pool.
Then we even used it as a sandbox!
As our kids have grown, the size of the sandbox is way too little for them both to enjoy it.
We purchased a larger one a few months ago, and finally are setting it up!
When moving the ladybug, we found another animal underneath....

We sent him back to his habitat he created under the sandbox and placed the new one on the same location to help maintain the moisture that was already there...
After pouring the bags of sand we had waiting (for months, under the snow)
The new sandbox is finally in its place....
and loved by all!

We almost got this same one! I love that it has a little bench and table attached.
I know there are people who freak out over whatever could be in sandboxes but here in sunny CA, almost every park has a sand area and a water feature, usually combined. They are so smart! Sand toys are something you just leave in the car.
