It has taken 26 years for this to occur to me, but I wanted to share.
So, Mickey Mouse is a talking mouse.
His friends all talk - Daisy and Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle the cow, Goofy the dog.
So why doesn't Pluto talk? He is a dog. They already established that dogs can talk, with Goofy.
It is very curious.

I remember someone pointing out one time, why is it that Donald wears no pants, but when he is in a shower scene, he only wears a towel?
