I have had several people ask if I am busy, busy trying to prepare for Richard's homecoming. I wondered what I needed to be busy doing --- did I miss a memo somewhere?
The short list of things included meal planning, last minute house projects and cleaning.
Let's address -- in my opinion, my house is always a mess. I busted my butt making sure that everything was completely spotless when Richard came home for leave in Feburary. We walked in the door from the airport, and everything looked picture perfect for a few seconds....then we returned to living in our home.
Sooooo.....There is no need to make myself crazy right now. I already pick up constantly, fuss at my babies constantly to pick up. I wash clothes everyday. I wash dishes everyday. I sweep and mop the floor at least once a day. There isn't a lot else I can do besides my regular routine.
Last minute house projects....there are several things I am working on, but it doesn't matter if it is accomplished before Richard arrives. Sure, it would be nice to be done, but sometimes I'd prefer relaxing when I have "free" time.
Meal planning....not a whole lot of worries there. The meal that we have the first night depends on when I find out about his flight arrival and the time we would arrive home! All else will fall into place.
And presents....well, that is done as well. Nothing too exciting there.
So my biggest stressors right now include choosing outfits for the reunion at the airport. And if you know me, you know how important it is to dress for the occassion, dress to impress, while still making it effortless and flawless.
Hopefully, I can come up with something fabulous for all of us!

You guys will be the cutest family there! Every wife I know has always been more obsessed with how they look when they greet their husband than anything else. And I'm sure Rich won't care because he'll be back with all of you again. =)
You are right, Love. No need to stress.
You, Lucas, and Meredith will look splendid. You always do :) I know whatever you come up with for each of you will be just right :)
Your home is not a mess... happily lived in, yes, but definitely not a mess. Your meals will be delicious. And yay for down time when you can relax!!!
