Chicks Beach

Chesapeake Bay Beach is shared as a "local's secret".

Only, they call it Chick's Beach for short.   

The beach is located along the Chesapeake Bay, before the bay meets the ocean.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel begins in Virginia Beach and continues for 17 miles, crossing into Maryland - including an underwater tunnel.

The waves are much gentler and there is no drastic sandbar drop.

The kiddos think it is fabulous.

Meredith braves the waves in the pink donut!

And plays happily in the sand....

Typical of my kids, they BEG for a giant hole to be dug.

Luckily, we had a young uncle around to help this time!

Since our first trips, we have frequented this area alot! 

We love the quiet and calm nature of the area.
